Michigan State in the Final Four

Nice little double overtime victory sends Michigan State to the NCAA Final Four. Now they take on another #1 seed in UNC. Can they do it? Hmm, we’ll just have to wait and see.

I saw “Be Cool” this weekend and it was very disappointing. Unfortunately it was my decision to see this over “Guess Who”, which I’m sure is funny but “Be Cool” seemed more like a movie for three guys to check out. I was wrong, and it was probably one of the worst movies of all time, if not THE worst. Even Vince Vaughn, who I loved in Swingers, Made, and even the terrible Dodgeball, was very very bad in this movie. He made me chuckle a bit with his character, but the writing killed everyone in this movie.

Wireless internet and laptop computers make using the internet a little more fun. I discovered that personally this weekend, as both were new visitors to my home. I also discoveed a couple of other things:

  • I suck at euchre. I kind of knew this already, but I didn’t think I was this bad. 2 years running at last place in an annual euchre tournament show me how freaking terrible I really am.
  • Not eating all day and then going all out playing basketball for two hours doesn’t mix. I felt a type of bad I haven’t ever felt before.

Not really any new life lessons learned this weekend, but you know, you have to just go a little at a time.

Euchre is a great game. I only learned how to play it when I moved from Nova Scotia to Ontario to go to university. It is a big game in Southern Ontario, while no one ever played it back in Nova Scotia. I learned it pretty quickly and started winning some games. It’s all about having a good partner who can play your style.

At my old work, we used to play a game of euchre everyday at lunch. My partner and I were the champs. We had at least 20 game unbeaten streak going on before we lost our first game. I think over the course of a month and half we lost about 3 games all total. We just dominated.
