An unfortunate end to a long, good season for the Detroit Pistons. Congrats Spurs. Hey, at least Alonzo Mourning didn’t win it either.
My bracket can be found at NBA Playoffs Bracket 2005.
This concludes my sports updates until October.

There’s been Game 7′s before. Pistons/Nets in ’04. Pistons/Heat in ’05. They’re always scary.
But this is It. There’s no game in all of basketball that is bigger than Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Anyone who’s spent any considerable time shooting basketball has fantasized about being in Game 7, with .5 seconds left on the clock, and ‘if I only make this one free throw, we’ll win the NBA championship.’
Pistons/Heat scared me. Pistons/Spurs brings me to dangerous health levels. My heart almost exploded last night during Game 6, and the unthinkable happened and Detroit won in San Antonio for the first time since 1997.
Thursday night will be very different. 48 minutes to determine the NBA champion. One game. Friday morning I’ll either move the Pistons logo down or the Spurs logo down on my bracket. I’m scared, and I’m keeping a phone close in case I need to call 911.
Go Pistons.

Here’s a collection of images of tennis player Maria Sharapova which are either really funny or really hot, or in some cases both. I’ll let you decide which is which.
(Hmm, still trying to make this work, please hold…)

Wow. What a great game 7, what a great series, what a relief! Pistons vs. Spurs for the NBA Championship, baby!

It’s game 7. I’m excited. I’m scared. This could be the greatest Pistons game ever. This could be the last Pistons game this season. They’ve won in Miami before, six games ago. It’s game 7. My favorite number is 7. I don’t know why, it’s just a cool number to me. Its game 7. Last year’s game 7 versus the New Jersey Nets was scary. This is scarier. I’m scared. I’m excited. It’s game 7.
