Nintendo Wii - Definitely on my list
The Nintendo Wii was fully introduced today at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, and it looks awesome.
Some key Nintendo Wii features:

- The controller - Nintendo obviously is taking a risk here, offering a tv remote as their new video game controller. But look what it offers:
- Wireless
- Motion-detection: You move it like a wand in front of the tv and the game will sense where the controller is. Use it like a sword, a golf club, or a steering wheel
- Rumble - Like lots of controllers these days, you get a force-feedback rumbling when you hit things
- Speaker - There’s a frikkin speaker in the frikkin thing. When you shoot an arrow from your bow-and-arrow controller, the arrow makes a “whoosh” sound that seemingly travels from the controller to the tv
- Add-ons - You can connect the “nunchaku” for a handy little joystick, and many things coming up, depending on what game you’re playing
- Turn it sideways and play old school Nintendo games
- Wireless - Connected 24/7, even when the power is off. It will download new content to your games for free through Nintendo’s WiFi Connection
- Accepts and plays Gamecube discs as well
- Virtual Console - Almost worth the price right here, download and play 20 years worth of old Nintendo, Sega and Turbografx 16 games
- Accepts Gamecube controllers and memory cards
- Expandable memory through SD cards
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Metroid Prime 3
- WarioWare
- Legend of Zelda
It was also announced that Sony’s Playstation 3 (original name) will come with a controller that steals three Nintendo innovations: wireless, analog joystick, and motion sensing.
Not sure what the price of it all is as of yet. But I think this might have to be a purchase I make when it comes out in October or November. Just don’t tell Shannon…. (kidding, honey!)
Damn, that does look pretty awesome, I’ll admit.
Is it going to come out of your “entertainment” budget?
this is funny sh*t Brad did you see wiigenie.com
Hehe, that is funny, Glen.
