Yes! Just like last year (and 2 years before that, and a year before that…), Ben Wallace has won the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award for the fourth time in five years!

I don’t really understand why he won it over Bruce Bowen, who is definitely overdue for some recognition of his own, but hey, I’ll take it. I do know that Ben Wallace has been phenomenal and I can only hope he lives up to his award for the rest of the Playoffs.
