Google Browser Sync

Yet another entry filed under “Google Owns Us”, but hey, whatever…

Anyways, Google has released the Google Browser Sync Firefox extension, which is a miracle of technology haha

I had used an extension similar to this before, and here’s what it does: It saves your browser settings (bookmarks, cookies, saved passwords, hitory, etc.) on a server somewhere in the world, and each time you open a browser on a different computer, it downloads those settings so that no matter where you’re at, you’re always using the same browser.

No more forgetting passwords or bookmarks. It’s great. I use Shannon’s computer a lot and I simply must have all of my bookmarks organized the same way. I’m loving it.

So yeah, now Google has all of our passwords and bookmarks. That’s nice, huh?

Dude, I wouldn’t want to do that. Not that I’m paranoid… but geez.

That Yahoo! toolbar is pretty nice and you can store all your bookmarks there and save pages.
