Introducing the 2010 NFL Playoffs Bracket

Breathingfire.com is known for its popular NBA Playoffs bracket, and now we’ve reached into the world of the NFL to bring you live playoff-placement coverage all season.

During the regular season, the 2010 NFL Playoffs bracket is updated live as games finish, giving you an idea of where your favorite team(s) are in the Playoff picture. During the Playoffs themselves, the bracket will be updated with scores, and winning teams will advance along the tree.

We recently completed a total overhaul of the bracket CSS (our brackets are 100% XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.1, of course,) so the bracket looks a little bare at the moment. But we will be sprucing it up over time. But the main theme of these brackets is quality over quantity and usability over flash.

If you have suggestions for how we can improve this or any of our brackets, please let us know by leaving a comment below. Otherwise, check out the 2010 NFL Playoffs bracket!

Note: We’re still working on getting the standings correct, as the current seeds are not lining up right. We’ll update this when we have that fixed.

  2. Zivko says:

I love your brackets, when will you have your NBA one ready and why didn’t you make one for the MLB playoffs

    • Brad says:

Thanks! I should have the NBA bracket up and running by the start of the regular season on October 27th. It’s been a very busy summer so I didn’t get to an MLB bracket, but maybe next year. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Zivko says:

Why don’t you make a Nba one for the preseason just for fun, I know I would if I knew how to make one

  4. Bubbs says:

exactly what I was lookin for — thanks

  5. Bob says:

jags are in right now not the ravens

  6. Bob says:

denver is fifth, New england is fifth and Jacksonville is sixth

  7. Bob says:

In AFC Patriots are 5th, Broncos are 3rd and Bengals are 4th. In NFC Arizona is 4th Eagles are 3rd and Cowboys are 5th. Use NFL.com

    • Brad says:

Yeeeahhh, the bracket DOES use NFL.com, and the standings are correct. Divisional leaders are seeded 1-4, so Broncos can’t be 3rd over the Patriots, and the Eagles can’t be 3rd over the Cowboys.

      Thanks though. :)

  8. Zivko says:

So how do you make your brackets look so nice

  9. Gary says:

your bracket is wrong…6 plays 3 and 5 plays 4 in Wildcard weekend….

  10. Zivko says:

Can you please make the bracket print friendly?

    -Thanks

  11. chronage says:

“Unlike the NBA, the NFL does not use predetermined brackets. In the second round of the playoffs, the top seed always hosts the lowest surviving seed, while the other two teams pair off.[2] ”

Philly will play in New Orleans if they beat the Cowboys, which isnt reflected in your bracketing.

    • Brad says:

True, but the bracket is really just a fun way of seeing how the Playoffs picture might end up as the season progresses. I’ll update the positions as the second round fleshes out. Thanks for commenting.

  12. Deniece says:

#5 Seed for AFC is New York Jets – not Houston Texans

  13. EP says:

Nice work on the bracket, very helpful. How many visitors does this thing pull in, if I may ask?

    • Brad says:

Not many just yet since it’s the first year I have done it. I plan on improving it with a better look and feel in the future. Thanks for stopping by!

  14. Zivko says:

Will you publish the dates on the bracket including the final score before the playoffs start next will at least the dat of the game?

  15. Doug says:

It would be nice to have locations of games (home/away) on there too.

  16. Zivko says:

Cool and also once you do that can you make the bracket print friendly too?
