The 2010 NBA Playoffs are almost here. Be sure to check the 2010 NBA Playoffs bracket to see how your team is doing. (Unfortunately my team, the Detroit Pistons, are not doing so hot this year.)
Also remember you can access the bracket at http://nbaplayoffsbracket.com
And you can comment here on this post with comments, suggestions and questions. Thanks!
Hello Sir,I just want to comment on the playoff system of the league, can there be any changes to the system wherein the NBA Finals is more intense and really exciting rather than any playoff matches? What I mean is instead of picking the top-8 of east and top-8 of west, why not pick the top-16 of the league, forget conference bracket.By this,win-loss record of the team is worthful if the team is eligible to enter the playoff, unlike the current system there are teams who have more wins than the 7th,8th seeded of the other conference but they can’t make it to the playoffs because they belong to the strong conference.Let’s go back to the 2002 season, the western conference final is greater than the NBA Finals.I just have this comment, but I’m sure this has a lot of benefits for the league to be more beautiful, think about it,thank you.
Not sure what I can do but thanks for the comments, NBA Commissioner David Stern!
(Uhh, maybe YOU can make those changes? Since you’re NBA Commissioner David Stern?)
Think of the conference brackets as the “group stages” in Fifa. It exists in every sport. Right now the system is correct because it divides the survivors against the non.
Not to mention travel concerns. Having Boston play the Clippers or Golden State in the first round would drag it out too long to accommodate for travel;
Can you explain the step by step process you take to make this amazing bracket
Nah, sorry man. It’s easy if you learn some PHP and CSS and HTML.
Oh, by the way, please stop posting comments asking about that!
Awesome bracket guys!! Been checking hear since the 2007 playoffs, and never thought any other bracket was better! Keep up the good work!!
Go OKC Thunder!!!
Thanks Seth! Can’t wait for the Playoffs to start.
Always look forward to your brackets. My brother and I print it out and fill it. We’ve been doing it for several years now. Thanks!
Thanks Andy! That reminds me, I need to fix the print stylesheet! I’ll have it up and ready for the final Playoffs bracket for you guys!
Hey my man! I was checking out your bracket last year, and now I’m back for this year! Keep up the killer work and I’ll be on here starting Sunday.
hey it says 2009 not 2010. might wanna fix that
Hey, I’ve been following your brackets for the past 2 years. Keep up the awesome job!
By the way, the logo on the 2010 bracket still says 2009 on it! Kinda’ threw me off for a bit!
Thanks,
Slick
Abigail and Slick: THanks for the heads up on the Playoffs logo. The NBA is notoriously late on releasing their Playoffs logo so I have yet to grab it up but I’ll get it changed right away. Thanks!
ohhhh yeahh!!!! glad to see this site still around!!!
best bracket on the net. cant imagine the playoffs without it at this point i’m hooked
hoping to see upcoming games (times/networks) in the bracket as well, just like last year. so perfect
thanks!!!!!!
Adding upcoming games now. Busy weekend so there was a slight delay!
Lakers are going to win it…KOBE BRYANT!!!
Are you going to put the “Wins” option on this years bracket? Also I can’t see the teams logos on last year bracket.
Thanks, yes I did some code changes so I’ve had to fix some stuff tonight. Still correcting some issues but it will be updated regularly from now on! Thanks!
I’m sorry Brad it just bugs how good you make the bracket that its hard for me not to ask you how you make the bracket look and work so good. Keep on going man!
No problem. Thanks!
Hey Brad,
I noticed there’s nothing on the bracket this year to let people know that all game times are Eastern Standard Time. Always helps avoid confusion. Love the bracket–it’s my homepage for the third finals season in a row!
Trenton, thanks for the reminder. I have added this.
I noticed that the bracket says the TIME of the next game it does not say the DATE!…
Sorry, fixed!
hey Brad, any chance to make the tooltip with the time of the next game also show the day/date of the game. For example, some games right now simply say the game starts at 10:30pm… but what day? I have to check an inferior external source to get the info. I need all the info right here on the bracket, no need for me to visit those crappy other sites.
Thanks for keeping this site going each year! Found this place back in ’06, been a fan ever since.
Manny, thanks for the heads up. I’m too close to this to see glaring omissions like that sometimes. Fixed!
Awesome! Now it’s just perfect
This thing is awesome, thanks a lot!
thanks for such a great site! been using it for 3 years now!! keep it up!!
* go celtics *
Many thanks for setting up and maintaining this site. Looked all over web for decent Finals tree and this is the best there is. Once again, thanks.
Yo Brad who you rooting for in the Playoffs?
Just a heads-up that half of the links to the actual game (that is, clicking on the arrow after the game is completed) are broken. The team name part (aka “SASPHX”) goes in the order “SAS @ PHX” = “SASPHX” or “PHX @ SAS” = “PHXSAS” depending on the individual game, but they’re all the same per series in the implementation here.
Ahhh, good call! Thanks for pointing that out. I have fixed it up. I’ll do a comprehensive bug check tonight. Thanks again.
c’mon.. update already. its the age of milliseconds.
I agree that this is the best playoff bracket set-up that I have seen! Quick heads-up tho’, Sunday’s series is on TNT, not ESPN.
Thanks for the great brackets!
Let’s go Gasol! Beat Boston in 4! Show them who is the best team in the NBA!
Hey! Time to update the bracket. Game one of the NBA Finals is already in the books, and it’s not showing.
The bracket is updated, for the Finals the trophies fill up!
