Detroit Moves On, Beats Philly 4-1

12 more wins ’till we’re hoisting the NBA championship trophy. Again.

ESPN(AP) - The Detroit Pistons followed up three lackluster quarters with a dominant fourth, earning the defending NBA champions a spot in the second round.

Richard Hamilton scored 10 of his 23 points in the final quarter to lift the Pistons to an 88-78 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night in Game 5 of their first-round series. Detroit won the series 4-1 and will play next against Indiana or Boston.
